About OVN
OVN is the managed expedite carrier for freight that can't wait. OVN commands capacity of over 1,300 OVN-qualified cargo vans and box trucks and is the carrier of record on every shipment, meaning OVN holds the contract, issues the invoice, and carries the liability. OVN moves time-critical, last-mile, and AOG shipments across North America, dispatched by an in-house team available 24/7/365.
OVN is a carrier. Specifically, OVN is the carrier of record on every shipment: OVN contracts the load, invoices it, and holds the liability. A broker connects your freight to a third-party carrier and coordinates from the outside. OVN dispatches every load with its own in-house team and does not repost freight to third-party load boards.
An expedited carrier moves freight that has to arrive faster than standard shipping allows, usually same-day or next-day, with a dedicated vehicle and direct routing. You need one when delay is expensive: a grounded aircraft waiting on a part, a production line stopped for a component, a medical shipment that cannot wait. Expedite carriers like OVN dispatch around the clock and move freight directly, without consolidating it with other loads.
OVN has been moving expedited freight since 2015, non-stop, including weekends and holidays. In that time OVN has completed more than 100,000 shipments.
OVN operates across North America, including the United States (Alaska included), Canada, and cross-border moves, with cleared drivers positioned near major airports. Runs range from five miles to coast to coast.
How we work
When a broker or load board quotes you, they are often quoting a rate before they have secured a truck. OVN quotes with a truck in hand, because the capacity is already identified in our own network before we come back to you. We also never repost your load to another board, so what you are quoted is what is available.
OVN's in-house dispatch operates 24/7/365 and responds to a quote in under 15 minutes. Because we check against real capacity in our own network, that response comes back with an actual van, not just a rate.
OVN specializes in time-critical and expedited freight: aircraft on ground (AOG) and aerospace components, automotive parts, manufacturing and machine-down components, medical and pharmaceutical shipments, last-mile and distribution-center transfers, and freight forwarder final-mile. If it fits a cargo van and has to be there now, it is OVN's specialty.
Every OVN load is tracked live, and tracking starts before the pickup. Most tracking begins when the freight is loaded. OVN's begins when the driver is still empty and en route to pick up the load, so you see the true ETA to pickup rather than a guess. The tracking link can be white-labeled and shared with your own customer, and OVN also accepts MacroPoint, Trucker Tool, and Project 44 on top.
Yes. Freight forwarders use OVN as the final-mile leg of a door-to-door quote: deconsolidation, inbound-to-outbound export moves, and pickups straight from TSA pre-screening facilities to the plane. OVN provides cleared drivers near major airports, live tracking, and the documentation forwarders need.
Yes. OVN has TSA and TWIC-cleared drivers available, which allows them to handle airport, port, and secure-facility pickups, including AOG freight and pickups from TSA pre-screening facilities.
Every driver in OVN's network clears a full vetting process before their first load: paperwork and business verification, legal work authorization, DOT compliance, and insurance verification, with OVN added as additional insured and certificate holder on both cargo and liability coverage. Vans and box trucks must be under seven years old, are reviewed by photo for condition, and cannot carry another company's branding. Every driver then completes OVN Academy, an onboarding program covering the bidding system, pickup and delivery protocol, and communication standards.
